A centre for apples and pear orchards, as well as the production of calvados, this area offers gorgeous views and interesting opportunities in all seasons.<\/p>\n
Our neighbourhood village, Barenton, is conveniently located for visits to a number of popular tourist attractions including Le Mont St. Michel, the Bayeux Tapestry, the Normandy Landing beaches, Domfront, the Grand Cascades of Mortain and many other points of interest.<\/p>\n
Barenton, 2.9 kms from Bonsentier, has a small supermarket, a butcher, a doctor (he is also the mayor), a hardware shop, a restaurant\/bar, and, of course, the patisserie\/boulangerie for fresh croissants, pain au chocolat and baguettes. Taste the local delicacies at some excellent nearby restaurants or cook at ‘home’ using fresh, home-grown produce from one of the nearby weekly markets.<\/p>\n
